Your server is
already here.

We discover DayZ servers from Steam's own master list, so yours is almost certainly one of the 262,310 we already track. Claiming it costs nothing and takes about two minutes.

Nobody can buy the place above you

Most server lists rank whoever votes hardest or pays most. A server with a bigger budget than yours sits above you and there is nothing you can do about it except spend more. That is the entire business model, and it is why those lists tell players so little.

Here the order comes from measurement. We query every tracked server every 15 minutes using the same protocol the DayZ launcher uses, and rank by what we actually find. There is no premium slot, no vote button, and no price list. If a server is above you, it is because more people were playing on it.

And nobody can fake their way past you either

Padding is the other way honest servers get buried. Tools exist that rewrite the player count before it reaches a server browser, so an empty server can advertise itself as full. Right now 168,528 of the servers we track are doing exactly that.

We detect it and hide them. Flagged servers drop out of the rankings, the homepage totals, the trending list and the public API, and their pages carry a warning explaining which rule caught them. Your real thirty players are ranked against other real numbers, not against inventions. How the padding works and how we catch it.

What claiming actually gets you

Proving it is yours takes two minutes

We do not ask for logins, FTP access, or anything touching your machine. Instead you prove control of the one thing only the operator can change: the server name.

  1. Find your server and press Claim. You get a short code like DZI-4F2A9C.
  2. Put that code anywhere in your server name in serverDZ.cfg and restart.
  3. Press Check now, or wait for the next automatic pass. The moment we see the code in the broadcast name, the page is yours.
  4. Take the code back out. The claim sticks.

Claiming needs both Steam and Discord linked on your account - the same bar as reviews. A server page is a public thing to hand someone, so it is worth being sure who is holding it.
