The people answering here debug DayZ for fun. Make it easy for them and your odds go way up.
A good help post has:
- What you were trying to do - one sentence.
- What happened instead - the exact error, not "it doesn't work".
- The relevant log lines - script.log or the RPT tail, in a code block:
SCRIPT (E): @MyMod/scripts/4_World/myitem.c(42): Unknown type 'PlayerBaze'
- The code that produced it - just the function, not the whole file:
modded class PlayerBase
{
override void OnConnect()
{
super.OnConnect();
// your change here
}
}- What you already tried - saves everyone repeating it.
Attach screenshots for anything visual - Workbench errors, broken models, UI glitches. Up to 4 per post.
When your problem is solved, press Mark as solved on your thread. Solved threads become the searchable knowledge base that saves the next person a day of debugging - that is the whole point of this section.
Answering? Helpful answers earn trust, and trust unlocks tiers, styles and badges. The ladder runs on exactly this.
